The Goal: 25,000 Rolls Of Nickels (All Searchers Welcome!)

I am at 370,400 nickels searched and keep detailed statistics on my finds ... current find rates as follows:

I have found 67 Buffalo nickels. That works out to 1 Buffalo find (on average) every 5,522 coins searched (1 per 138.1 rolls).

I have found 132 War Silver. That works out to 1 War Silver find (on average) every 2,803 coins searched (1 per 70.1 rolls).

It's been quite a while since I complied and posted an overall summary ... perhaps it's time to update the CCF on nickel find rates, circulation obsolescence, predicted number of surviving members, etc.

Did $100 nickels over past couple days. Found:

Returned that box today and picked up another one and will post finds later tomorrow probably.

Searched $100 in nickels and found one silver (43P), 22 other pre-1960's, and one Canadian nickel (2000).

$20 more in Nickels...6 from the 50's or before...earliest 1938. No War Nickels...so pretty ho-hum. But you never know what the next roll will hold.

$30 more in nickels...nothing special. 6 pre 1960...earliest 41
