My mind was so set on the 38S I also need that I actually did not realize what I had when I came across this coin. I looked at obverse, it's not 38 then I looked at reverse and it's not S mint. So I just threw it with all the pre-59 pile. Later when I rechecked every coin in the saved pile I then realized it's a very strange coin that I never found one before. Only after I looked my album did I realize this is the one! So tonight two boxes, 100 rolls First box from Brinks: no silver, no buff; 1 50D, 34 pre-59 coins; Second box from Loomis: nothing mentionable; 32 pre-59 coins; Three holes left: 38S, 45P, 45D; Total rolls searched: 2450 Edited by Yinzi50 01/21/2010 11:54 pm Report this Post to the Staff

hockingzig Pillar of the Community United States 1450 Posts	Posted 01/22/2010 05:46 am Went through 50 rolls today 25 Brinks and 25 customer wrapped and found a badly worn 43 P,a 50,51,52 and 39. Really slim pickins lately. I am also seeing a disturbing trend in customer wrapped rolls,many of them are 3-4 nickels short. I know folks can miscount but when I get 5 rolls in a row 3 nickels short it isn't an accident. Report this Post to the Staff

Mine was circulated; probably about f/vf. Most were hoarded, so any found probably look a lot like the one nickelsearcher found a few months back.
