Thanks and congrats! Traded in 16 rolls of nickels for another 16 Loomis rolls today. Out of these, I found a 1934-P chrome-plated Buffalo nickel, a 1950-P (album filler), and a 1972-S proof. All in all, not a bad haul. Just 11 holes left to fill now. Cheers!

This week only 1 box. I think I didn't do to bad. 1 1936 buffalo, 1 1946S for the book, a couple of 69&70S ,1 1939, and some 40 & 50 for safe keeping. I'm down to 9 more to fill the books 38 to 23.

For those interested, my cumulative totals for 7 1/2 years of Jefferson nickel CRH... I'll do a more comprehensive one soon which includes, Buffalo, V, and Proof nickels, along with varieties I've found such as the 1939 Doubled Monticello and Five Cents and the 1943P, 3/2... but this gives you an idea what going through 1.5652 MILLION coins might yield if you're in my neck of the woods...

Quality over quantity wins again... only 4 pre-60s in my batch of 1,000 CWR today, but one of them was the always difficult-to-find 1938-P (the others were 1941, 1941-D, and 1941-S)... the best find though was the coin on the right - struck from a very heavily greased right obverse die... the "We Trust" from the motto and the "2005" date are both completely missing as is most of the word "Liberty" - the "D" mintmark somehow survived lol.

Great finds John77! You should post that Struck Through Grease error on the U.S Modern Variety And Error Coins forum.

YES!!! So good to see first-year issues in circulation!!! Very nice. VERY nice.
I was pretty excited to get $80 in circulated rolls from a branch yesterday that usually performs pretty well, like one find every 2.5-3 rolls.
We didn't turn up many (only 12 pre-1960 in 40 rolls) but the best were a 1958 P, which we seem to find with some frequency, and a lovely 1939 S.

My saying is always "Quality over quantity"... hitting on one of the five key Jeffersons and a sub 20M coin like the 58-P is ALWAYS a big win. Congrats, pound_foolish!!

Agreed!
Thank you all for sharing, too. I always look forward to reading what y'all are picking out of rolls.
Looking back a couple weeks ago, we had a similar experience, lots of rolls with just a few finds but that time a 1939 D. I'll take quality over quantity all day. We had a run of Buffalos for a bit that spiced things up, and we always do manage to pull something fun out of the circulated rolls we get locally. Will be in WA state and Hawaii for a couple weeks and will be bringing cash with us to see what faraway lands bring.
