Quote: Found a 1928-S Buffalo nickel today. Fantastic! Quote: Funny that it's the only find in the 10 Loomis rolls. I guess quality over quantity. Indeed.

Thanks, all! Found a 1955-P in a Loomis roll today, which is a hole filler. It's been a while since I've found something for the album, so this was a nice surprise. I've been having better luck with nickels lately, which is great. For a while there, I wasn't finding anything at all. But, 'tis the ups and downs of CRH. So now I just need these. Cheers!

In the last few days, we did a $60 hunt with a whole lot of common pre-1960 dates and a LOVELY 1944 P, and then a box yesterday with only 10 pre-1960 Jeffersons, but a pretty 1987 S proof AND - in ONE ROLL - a 1928 P and 1926 D buffalo.
Still need that 1944 D and 1950 D, probably one last $50 hunt today before we drive up to Philly tomorrow to start the next leg of our adventure.

pound_foolish, a 1926-D buffalo is an awesome find! Even in G condition (assuming it has not been nic-a-dated) it's still roughly a $10 coin.

Thanks y'all! The 26 D buffalo appears to be unaltered. In fact today we came across TWO MORE buffalos in a $50 hunt - a 25 P and a dateless slickster that we will vinegar treat shortly.
But yeah, I did a double take seeing a mint mark on that 1926, knowing that even a D is a good date.

Found a 1945-P War Nickel last night, which is an album filler, plus a 2009-D nickel today, and a Bermuda coin for my daughter. Not a bad box at all! Got another circulated box yesterday, which I'll probably start tomorrow. Now I just have 9 more holes to fill. Cheers!
