I'm a pocket-change collector since I was a kid back in the Sixties.I'm also an amateur metal detectorist, so I check my finds as well. I was last out on Dec.15th and found what appears to be a 1982-S possible SM. Date copper business strike cent.Never seen one and supposedly the Mint didn't make any.Have you guys ever heard of one? * Moved by Staff to a more appropriate forum. * Report this Post to the Staff

Maybe it took a hit which made an impression that looks like an S or maybe bubbles from zinc rot.
