I had to share these three listings for U.S. coins offered on ebay from a seller in Spain.

A circulated 1951 Washington quarter for $11,000:

A 1942 Mercury (not that silly overdate) for $16,500:

And the ever popular dateless Type II Buffalo for only $12,000:

With only a $50.00 shipping charge you might have them delivered in time for Christmas!!

His 1952 Canadian cent is a bargain at only $6000.00! Someone better grab it fast, it's not going to last long at that price!

I have to hope that they just got the conversion rates wrong, and think they are selling these coins for $10 or $15 dollars? Maybe?

I even think that would be too much.

Comforting to know the ebay police are ever-vigilant, as we have come to expect.

In Spanish, the comma is used to indicate the decimal, so it's very possible the seller meant to sell for $11.00 instead of $11,000.

Reminiscent of an old Bob and Ray ad for a copiers, which went something like this:

Bob: So I understand you're selling a copy machine.

Ray: Yes. It makes one copy a minute and costs a million dollars.

Bob: That's ridiculous. Who would buy that?

Ray: I only need to sell one.

Wow. That is impressive.

I choose to believe that he is mis-using the comma and did not check the listing before it went active because he is a new user.........
