Seems pretty obvious to be PMD, but I just wanted to check. The N in ONE on the reverse is a bit odd and if it took a hit that messed up the corner of the N I would expect other things around it to be similarly damaged. Another "What do you all think" post :-) It helps me learn what I am seeing. Thanks, John

Thanks. I figured it was PMD, just wanted to make sure I wasn't seeing something interesting.

Look inside the leaves above E PLU on the left reverse. several digs in the leaves extending to the T of UNITED, along with the direction of the damage done in the N and under the E, all consistent with PMD like rubbing across concrete or such.

The dies that struck this coin was ready to be retired. VLDS Also circulation damage is present. The worst of both worlds. Spendable

Sorry Andy, not even close relation. Your coin is 29 years younger. A different mint. The OP's coins was VLDS.
Your coin is an EDS with multiple sidewalk contusions or also known as a severe case of road rash. Thanks, Doug.

Andy's coin looks like a parking lot find. (run over many times)

This coin was in the wife's tip money...she's a server at a restaurant. Kind of weird how the damage is mainly on high spots, almost like it's purposeful. I would think if it's parking lot damage, it would hit all the surfaces, fields included. Regardless, it looks cool IMHO.

Being run over by cars slow flattens the highest devices. If left there long enough the fields would also show this damage. Just spent a little time there.
