Type I. The F is way too far from the rim to be type II.

Yeah, easily Type 1. Look at enough of these and you will be able to tell in half a second, regardless of how worn they are.

The OP coin is a perfect example of why the design change from the type 1 to the type 2 coin was done, so the "five cents" would not be the high point and wear off the coin.

I'm a little surprised they didn't do the same thing with the date, but I guess in the eyes of the mint/government, it's really only important that the denomination of the coin be visible moreso than the date.
