How did I do for $5? The seller obviously did not know what he had. What is something like this worth? I took a complete shot in the dark.

Heck of a deal for $5! That is an amazing lamination. Cant say Ive seen a more dramatic example before. First thought was split planchet after strike, but then I saw the little bit of retained reverse design.

judging by the obverse weakness I would say there was a lamination before strike aswell which later helped the rest peel off after strike.

Wonderful buy.
Definitely worth more then $5, as for value, is what the error Indian cent collectors willing to have in their collection.

That is one ugly & dramatic lamination error! Great buy, I'd think there are some that would pay upwards of 100 for that imo.
