There a couple of things on the reverse that would give me concern. Half of the breast feathers are missing and the right wing appears to be missing some details, and this is not typical of a soft strike. You may want to check the weight and do a magnet test on the coin.

Just weighed it and checked with a magnet. Weight checked out fine and its not magnetic. Phew!

Wow. That's one TOUGH coin to grade.

My heart says MS64, but I almost think I see the faintest touch of wear on the obverse points. In which case, that's the prettiest AU58 slider I've seen in ages.

Fully struck up on the obverse. The reverse, even being an 1878 reverse, is a bit weird as Slider noted. Might be a strike-through. It could also simply be the lighting playing tricks on my eyes. A few better pictures would help on that regards.

Here are some more pictures to help in grading this piece... The pictures are also not picking up on some hairline scratches which may mean that this coin has been cleaned in the past. Thank you guys for your help!
