I busted open a set to prepare for sale and there was a long strand of hair melted into the plastic mint set. First time seeing something like this. 9 year old coin set with 9 year old strand of hair. Anyone interested?

I'd say RCM quality control has improved over the years but that's not so.

Put it on ebay with a title like ' RCM MAJOR ERROR mint set 2007 ultra rare coin set'. It would fit right in.

These sets were third party packed outside of the RCM.

9 years old. Can't send that back to the Mint. Annoying, just have to run with it now!

"These sets were third party packed outside of the RCM." Not understanding. RCM is still responsible for Quality Control

True but when has the RCM cared about the hobby.

More hair found in a 2004 Holiday set. :/ Also completely embedded inside the plastic.

I got to start looking more closely at these that I have purchased over the years. Maybe best solution would be to sell coins individually as many people do with these sets.

I guess it's better than hair from other parts of the body...

Its better than hair restaurant food. Its still a distraction though. I guess the inspector must of been hung over. I didn't think these sets had much of a resale value, unless there was a rather rare coin included.
