MS63 (this is my first time grading St. Gauden's)

MS62. Gold is very soft and in a large coin such as this, there is much more opportunity for an MS coin to accumulate nicks and scratches whilst not receiving any wear.
St Gaudens coins never really circulated, and so it is very common to find them in AU55 or better.

Agree 62 tops. That cut in the upper left obverse field, and those gouges on the right leg, really hurt it.

My guess is MS64 is it's as lustrous as the images suggest. MS63 would be worst case. MS62 Saints either have terrible luster or are all beat up and this coin is neither of those things.

You could be right, but check out that right leg again.
