For the most part I am an extremist. Bc collecting is new to me, I have the desire to go through all 2500 of them quickly!
BUT I know that it's probably not a good idea & not what I should do, which is why I'm seeking suggestions & tips before I dive in, please, s'il vous plai, por favor?

PS: I'm SUPER excited!

Use the delete post icon (probably the last icon).

Just curious .. why you want to delete the post?

Have you changed your mind about going through a box
of Lincolns?

Nope, I most definitely have not changed my mind! I am super excited about going through them!!

I just thought that I his post maybe similar to another one I post yesterday. And since one of my first posts were apparently similar it was locked.
I'd like to avoid doing having that happen again, as I feel like I'm being a nuisance to the mods!!

Do you have any advice for me about hunting through the 2500 pennies (cents) ?

Save the nicest one of each date/ mm. Put them in a folder and try to upgrade them. Your collection will serve as a reference set so you have something to compare while searching varieties. The collection itself willprove a lot of fun and a challenge.

Good luck.

The only thing you did wrong this time was post it in the wrong forum. I fixed that for you. It was no big deal.

The other thread was locked because it was a duplicate of the one you later posted in the right forum. Again, no big deal. It is what we are here for.

Ok, thank you!

I am getting better (I think?) as I just posted a new topic in the wrong forum, having realized about 20 seconds after posting it. I deleted it & posted it in this forum instead.
Progress not perfection! :)

What kind of surface should I use when opening up & going through the rolls?
Should I wear the special gloves? Or somethings else?

You do not need gloves for cents, unless you want to keep your fingers clean.
When you find a coin you want to keep put it in a pile and keep that pile all the same coin, then when you have a few you can pick the better 1 or more out and then put in a 2x2 or album.
