GR58, what is your "electronic tester?"

A tester that that LCS got a few months ago.

I will try to get a picture and name of the device tomorrow.

I don't see any reason not to purchase this one. I've seen holed coins sell for more.

And looking at a XF for my Intercept Shield.

I say go for it. Sounds like you could easily unload it if you chose to or keep it if it's not too big of an investment

The short answer is "yes", because I don't have one.
Minimum requirement would be VF condition, but I would tolerate minor scratches edge bumps and cleaning (combined even), but no major damage or holes.

I do want to thank everyone for their responses.

For me, I am never sure what other collectors think
about lower grade coins.

I would certainly buy that, some of us collect lower grade coins like that one and it would fit in well with my collection

That's a nice AG and I'd certainly give you a fair offer > $100 should you wish to sell.

Regarding electronic testers, this unit seems to be representative of the state-of-the-art:

The electronic tester we use is not that nice.

But the one we use seems to work very well.

We have found several coins that were not what they were
suppose to be.

To answer your question, yes I would. I paid $100 for an EF-45 1846 Dollar with a hole in it. Fills the hole and hhas nice details.
