XF40 (hair line over ear still separated) but I strongly suspect that it has been cleaned or otherwise had its surfaces altered. It has MS-RD surface color on an XF coin.

Variety is N1 (R1), the die pair which was used for coining proofs.

I cannot tell whether this coin has been cleaned or not, but it looks EF-40 to me.
