Wish my local coin shop only charged 9.5x face. Great buy, I always grab Barber quarters up.

I have to admit I'm very jealous. That is a fantastic price.

I agree with others ... 9.5 is a very good price.
Does the shop charge the same amount for all their 90%

Dang my dealer still charges 14x spot though his junk silver is to die for a lot of times haha. I think of it junk silver+ because the conditions and years of the walkers and mercs would be a $14 coin on ebay so I'm more then happy to buy them for my albums.

9.5 might be a potential investment . If silver should go through the roof .

Well the junk silver they sell is mostly very worn or problem coins where the date is barely legible for US 90%. Sometimes there are some better things but not all the time. And I almost want to just buy all of the foreign coins because there are a ton of Canadian, British, Mexican and other countries just for spot. Who knows if there are some key dates or rarer coins. Most likely the shop would notice if they had something really good but worst case scenario I get it all at spot price and can't go too much lower than that. The shop also has better "junk" silver that is a little more expensive but I stick with the junk junk, sell some to make up the purchase, and stack what is left over basically for free.

If a US coin has a readable date it is not junk IMO. I think you did great to get the 1936-D Washington. Does the Washington have a nick in the rim? I bet someone would pay $20 for that coin since it is at least semi-key date. You other coins don't look all that bad either for the price. You are building your empire as a scrounger.

Yes I believe it does have a nick there on the obv. part of the rim. Ones on ebay in that condition seem to sell for about $5 but hey definitely a cool find and about 2x spot price!

Most of the junk he has in my dealer box is VG to VF. The one time he didn't have anything he gave me a high AU walker 1943 for like $10.
