It turns out NCS did work on the coin and removed most of the black spots, but they still gave it an "Improperly Cleaned" grade. I hope my acetone soak didn't cause that! I'll post photos later. Paul Bulgerin Pillar of the Community United States 3098 Posts	Posted 02/26/2016 4:02 pm No cloth and I let it air dry. Perhaps someone else had previously tried to work on it. Here are the photos so you can see what NCS did to remove the spots. I thought there was a good chance it would get a "Details" grade, but thought it might has a shot at "Uncirculated Details". I don't see any signs of cleaning. I don't see this one being UNC, particularly because there is evident wear in the fields denoted by the luster breaks. Report this Post to the Staff
