Just collect this sort of thing when you feel the price is right. Keep doing this for 25 years or more, then review what you have got, to be the core of a nice token collection.
Support that collection with a basic specialist book on the subject, preferably bought second hand to save on costs.

Nice finds. Those shapes are different from what I usually see -- which is round.

I'd judge all to be highly collectible - good score!

Some seriously fun tokens and a few that fall into the scarce category, too. Very nice finds.

Very nice.
Is a card room a gambling establishment? What state did these come from?

What city is your LCS located in. I ask because the Weiser token is from Idaho and is a town near where I live. Just curious to know where it migrated to.

Very cool! Kind of interesting that the reverse of that last one looks so simular to the Shield nickel's reverse.

Quote: Is a card room a gambling establishment? What state did these come from? I have no idea, and in Michigan card rooms might have been legal when the tokens were in use. But till the recent re interest in gaming, they only have poker rooms. Quote: What city is your LCS located in. I ask because the Weiser token is from Idaho and is a town near where I live. Just curious to know where it migrated to. Southeast Michigan about 25 miles north of Detroit. I don't know were he picked it up from other than He does get a lot of small batch tokens in with coin collections. Here is some more info http://cleo2.tripod.com/weisernews.html
