I was able to get the link to work. After you click on it, remove the first part of the URL until you get to the beginning of the second http: (after the equal sign). The forum seems to be adding something to the beginning of the link.

Quote: Belated happy birthday davec13. Thank you Quote: Curious, any significance to the 1972 PR70? No significance. It was one of those right place right time kind of scenarios. I had a few of them saved on my watch list and my phone went off so I went on and won one. I only got that because of a cut bid too. I was doing the math and it was so close to my max price I almost didn't do it, but I figured for the extra couple of bucks I may not find one again for anywhere near that price. I'm obviously not going to inform the wife what it cost when it shows up though.

And they just keep coming. At this pace I should have the set completed by the end of the month.

Quote: Cac stickers ikes!? I thought they were classics only They only sticker the business strikes. I'm not sure when they started. Like I said it seems to be the ground floor for Ike collecting right now. I can build my graded cac set and hopefully it will only go up in value. My luck though a hoard will be discovered and drop the price to nothing.

My feeling exactly about the ground floor but I go for the "hoard-discovery resistant" stuff like this. It will always be 1 of 1 The high graders are gorgeous though. I do want to pick up a few

It will always be 1 of 1 I saw that one when it was at auction. I put in a few bids, but I had my eyes on another item. I didn't win either Definitely a 1 of 1 though.

You're certainly on an Ike roll! Man, this is good. I'm pleased that you've discovered a passion and excitement for this series. It's so underrated it's almost hard to believe. I think it will get more popular as time goes on.

There is definitely more to this series than I ever thought. I'm sure that can be said about ever series though. After flipping through the 2 books it really seems like the hardcore collectors have already scoured over the series and found everything there is to find. If one really big new discovery could be made and grab some national media, I bet the series would skyrocket. As it stand now I'm happy to be able to build up a set of higher grade coins without having to take out a second mortgage.
