Help With 1972 D JFK

I found this one in some rolls last night.
If it is Machine Doubling, would not the stars also be effected?

I do not think this is Machine Doubling, as there appears to be clear separation of the letters in America. But I could be wrong. Nice find!

Its Machine Doubling

Machine Doubling can affect one letter or device or multiple letters and devices and not others.

Thank you for your input.
I have several other 50 cent coins with the same type doubling, it all looks very flat. Is this a good indication of Machine Doubling?

If you look at several of them you see that it is very common.

This is the classic look of Machine Doubling on a Kennedy half. Some are even worse than this one is.
