are you are asking about a 1941 D LWC

looks like someone ground it, PMD

Also, posts with pictures and nothing else are very hard to guess your intention.

No clue what you are asking about. Photos need to be of the coin you are referring to.

my quess is altered / ground down to work in dime vending machine or for some other specific use maybe?

might need close up pictures for better answer but most likely PMD or post mint damage
