I'm just curious. I don't know if our hosts would want such a forum, but it seems like we've been gaining a flock 3CN advocates here in recent months.

Aw, what the heck, here's a gratuitous image for y'all:

To be honest, I'm not sure if there'd be enough traffic to justify such a forum. My guess is that it would get stale fast. The only way it could really get going is if it somehow become well known in numismatic circles all over the Net, that this was the place to come for 3CN talk.

Did I just shoot myself down? Dang! I hate it when I do that!

You sound serious but if so you must realize there are many people that would then want a Lincoln Cent forum, Jefferson nickel forum, Coommemorative forum and might as well then have a not sure what it is forum. If there were forums for every type of coin ever made someone would still want one for some coin that no one ever knew existed. Then of course we would need a forum for each date of some coins such as a separate forum for the 1913 Liberty Head Nickel.
My vote is for the Missouri Mills forum.

I have grown more attracted to them every day I'm here! I look at my 7070 specimen and wonder if she needs some company. I can easily see the appeal of the 3CN. But I have other goals to attend to first, like finishing the 7100 LHC and of course the 7070.

I love 'em, of course. It always amazes me that this has not been a more popular series for collectors. The coins have a certain unique charm, and the cover a really interesting period in American history.

At least their lack of popularity means that some qute rare coins are within reach of the average collector, and no one has made any serious attempt to counterfeit them, so you have to really work at it to get taken to the cleaners.

3cN suffer the same fate as my series 3cS... there is just not enought material for a dealer to promote the series....

ie, I am always hard pressed at shows to find more that 4-6 pieces of decent trimes...

if I advertised more... I would be sold out quick as a flash
