As John notes, a common coin. As you get more experience you'll note common events and appearances. Your specimen shows some die wash on the devices along with routine circulation damage (dings to the devices that move material). When you see thinning devices, you're probably looking at some machine damage. You can see wash at the bottoms of each letter, a ding on the D, and the L and B.
