It looks genuine. I'd have it at G-06.

Weigh it. It should weigh ~3.11g. Search ebay US version for completed sales in same condition for approximate value.

Does it get higher value if I keep it for lets say 20 years?

The value will surely increase over time, especially since that is a key date Indian Head

I would strongly recommend that you consider encapsulating this coin via a TPG (Third Party Grader). In the even that you do wish to sell it, you will find it much, much easier to sell if it has been certified. Although this does look like the genuine article, there are SO MANY counterfeit 1877 Indian Head cents that most buyers are very wary of purchasing one that has not been certified. Also, you may already know - but DO NOT clean this coin. As to the value increase it is more likely for a key date, such as this one, in a popular series, such as Indian Head cents, to appreciate. HOWEVER, like any investment, there is absolutely no way of knowing if it actually well increase in value simply based on past performance (or lack thereof). Get it certified and you will always have instant money in the bank!

I agree, appears genuine. Certification is a must. Appears problem free too. You have a fairly valuable coin there. Welcome!

Definitely nothing screams a fake to me. I'd send it out asap to PCGS or NGC

If your going to have it graded have it graded by the top 2 in the market, NGC and PCGS. You need a membership for PCGS and NGC and a coin to be graded usually costs around $40 with shipping grading and returning it back to you. Here are the websites for both. Good luck
