I need guidance fellas. I keep giving myself heart attacks everytime I look at a coin. Just noticed that direction and light make a difference in what I see on the coin.

My question is, If there is a unique factor to a coin should I be able to see it from all angles. And does less light or more light show imperfections better. Thanks in advance
This 1972 is an example, the date is from 2 diff angles.

Looks like worn die. Light makes a difference. As practice, look at a coin with a loupe and rotate it as you are looking at it.

I have to disagree. It is machine damage during the strike. Nott the 7 in the date? See how that device is reduced. If it were Die Deterioration, then the devices would be normal sized, plus the extra metal for die wear showing. So this one is reduced, MD.
