Edit: I should say, it's remotely possible under the most ridiculous of unlikely circumstances that such a toning effect could, once in a million years, happen naturally.

I actually believe it's not out of the realm of possibility, just because I can't figure out why someone would AT stripes on a coin when they could tone the whole thing.

Motor oil + corn oil. Bake in oven 375 degrees for about 45 minutes.
