Confused - Possible 1983 Doubled Die Reverse / DDR S?

mahgobbi Pillar of the Community United States 549 Posts	Posted 01/18/2016 10:33 pm Tonight I decided to look for zincolns for the first time. I separated out the "AM" years, along with 1983 and 1984. I thought I found a 1983 DDR, but then I found another one less than 5 minutes later. Now I'm doubting that either one is what I thought it was. Can I get some opinions? Both are bright red, as seen in the first photo. I don't know how to capture color correctly under the microscope. Slamnbass Pillar of the Community United States 3644 Posts	Posted 01/18/2016 11:16 pm You'll notice on a good number of zincolns the centers of the devices sometimes look collapsed or dented inward giving that appearance on these '83's not sure if it's a form of die deteriation or exactly why it occurs.
