I've seen that teaser machine damage example before. I thought I had something for about a second. But the real DDO looks a lot more dramatic:

You know what drives me nuts being a newb? A lot of the Machine Doubling looks better than the doubled die. My learning curve is accelerating and I get it that it is more important as to what caused the doubling but looking at those two "1980"'s in Coops post, I'd go with the machine doubled all day long as far as coolness. The true doubled one does nothing for me. Don't get me wrong, when I see the 55 or 69 and those nice 72's in photos it is like OH WOW but I'd take a good machine over a weak die double, as far as eye appeal, any day of the week.

Your tastes will change as you progress. The MD does look better as a newby, but after a while you'll see so much MD the real deal will look better.

Yes, Thanks for the images coop. I still get a little excited when I see MD, but I look at the images you post and my blood pressure returns to normal.

Here's the coin that got me through the transition. I remember near about jumping out of my chair when I found it. I said to myself man that's a strong one, a mortgage payment for sure. Then Coop posted this: I've never been the same since. Funny though, for some reason I still have the coin.
