Does anyone go to the bottom of the main page and look at the "Active Users" you get to see who is on the site. If you look you will see that the 'Lurkers' out number the forum members 6 to 1 , that's a lot of people reading what we are doing.

Both C.C.F. and S.C.F. will have a user called "Google". This is his "about me"... Quote: I was born in a dorm room at Stanford University, I now live in Mountain View California, but I'm almost never there... since I'm almost always browsing Coin Community. I found it cute.

Yes, I look on occasion to see who is logged on and yes I have noticed the number of lurkers. I was one for many months before I joined.

Sometimes I just look and learn. I'll post a question or two and a picture if I have something that interests me, but generally don't have a lot to say.

Lurking is sort of a good way to learn. There are many people that just don't know what to say or care to even try. And too, if interested in coins, and no questions to mention, why not just read what others are saying. Eventually a topic or problem may come up that fits in but if not, still fun to just read. Think of it as if this was a newspaper or magazine. With those when you read them you don't get a chance to say anything about what your reading so how is that different from here?

I have no problem with the lurkers. We are here to educate. Think of them as the kids in the back of the classroom who never raise their hand, but usually take the best notes.

I have no problem with lurkers. Heck, I have been a member of the forum for multiple years and do not have a high post count. Yet I am on this site multiple times a day. This place is about education. As long as the lurkers are learning, what is wrong with that?
