What do the resident experts believe this coin grades? I'm not sure if it comes across in the pictures or not, but it still has a fair amount of luster remaining on both sides of the coin. Please feel free to let me know if these pictures are insufficient in any way, and I will try to take a few better ones. Thank you in advance for any assistance.

Even blowing the pictures up large I'm seeing the slightest rub that wouldn't be from a light strike. AU-58.

Thanks for the help, everyone! I appreciate the assistance. Quote:AU53, but lots of die cracks on the reverse so its a VAM :) Thanks for looking at it. The die cracks actually piqued my interest at the time of purchase; they are fairly prominent on this dollar, and thus one of the reasons I decided to pick up the coin. :) However, I actually don't know what a VAM is, as I'm still pretty new to collecting Morgan dollars. Would it be possible to briefly summarize it?
