Fair rather than poor, but close.

I can say with a high degree of certainty that this is a 1970's issue. Actually, it looks like a '72 looking at the two obverse photos together. As for mm, it's there but since you [Domain555] have it in hand, you've got got the best shot at that with a 10x loupe. Is it identifiable (the mint mark)? As for grade, heads, P; tails F.

Smooth. Nice find. I am not adept with the low-ball grades, so I will just observe at this time.

As for grade, heads, P; tails F. The MINT is (D) Not being coy. ~`~` Just want the honest judgments of CCF members on the date. I believe I can see it. But what I think is really not important. Will try to get other Obverse PICs up ASAP Thanks for your understanding and support(s) Domain555

Whats the real difference between Fair and Poor coins? Both sides are so worn with over 90% of the details missing that I'm not sure how to differentiate between the two grades! Thanks

Thanks I am not the expert in these matters. I am here to learn. And gather opinions from fellow CCFers TPGers are the last word in the grading. And they do NOT give out the PO-01 grade much As I understand it there are many IKEs where there are (0) zero PO-01 in a particular YEAR -- MINT -- TYPE Problem here is you have to spend a considerable amount of $$$ to get one graded. I have had this coin for about 2 years now. LOVE low balls ~`~` errors ~`~`PEG LEGS ~`~` toned.

Although it is very worn, I do not think it would make PO-1: too much details altogether (especially on the reverse). FR-2. Very nice coin

Thanks The short answer is that there is no definitive difference as it's all subjective. A PO-01 coin just has less detail than a FR-02. Take a look at PCGS photograde for examples. If you look at the Ike page, though, the obverse of the PO-01 seems to have more detail than the FR-02. Nice coin! I wish you could wear it down more, but that last digit is dangerously close to wearing off already.

Agreed Who ever had the coin in his-her pocket came very close to a plain worn out un-gradeable IKE. Numisma, from these limited PICs can you see the last digit? And yes, it is easier to judge it here under a 10 power loop

I'm thinking 72, but it's hard to tell.

I know you guys have come up with a decent idea of date and mint mark, but I have found that when I am having issues figuring out dates and mints, it is easier to do a rubbing of the coin. It brings out a lot of details that are harder to see with the naked eye.
