trdhrdr007,

Yeah this little fish scale is going into my type set album as well.

I am always on the look out for upgrades so it is quite possible this will come up on the auction block some day.

You mentioned that you didn't have time to increase your bid. Do you use a sniping program? If you don't you may want to consider using one from now on. They definitely increase your success rate.

I'm fairly computer illiterate, & it takes some serious arm twisting to get me to try something new, so no sniping program. I'm not sure one would have helped here either. I put in what I thought was my max bid, & was outbid with 3 seconds left. Then I decided I should go higher, but didn't have enough time. Unless a sniping program bids irregardless of my preset limit it wouldn't have helped.

The program I use requires me to set a max bid and I would assume they all do that. The program is just able to inrease the bid as necessary alot quicker than you can.

That's how I thought they worked. I set a max bid, & enter it as close to the end of the auction as I can. In this case I changed my mind about what my max bid should be. I can see the advantage of the sniping program, I wouldn't have to be around the computer at the end of the auction.

Exactly.

I use it all the time for auctions ending during the night and during the day when I am sleeping.

I use auctionsniper. If you want me to send you an invite I will and I will earn some free snipes in return. It charges a minimum of 25 cents or 1% whichever is greater
