http://www.ebay.com/itm/1889-CC-Mor...AOSwCypWpzaNI'm new here , but have been reading for months.. I just got a 89cc back from PCGS for grading. It came back F15, so it made me want to take a look on ebay to see what they had on there.. So after reading what you guys say about checking the PCGS number on there site to see if it all matches... Well this don't match.. PCGS won't even let me but in all the numbers.. So I guess I'll leave it to the experts to say if it's counterfeit.. *** Moved by Staff to a more appropriate forum. ***

Looks like the same coin to me, the image on the right is from a heritage sale of the same slab number. I see a lot of the same marks, especially around the three stars to the right of the date.

I would be a bit hesitant purchasing that big of a coin from France or any other offerings from this seller for that matter.

You MUST find a picture to trust the cert though, they match the data on purpose.

The only reservation I might have is will the winner actually ever get the coin in the pictures?
Pictures can be copied - slabs can be faked. What happens if a forgery arrives in a fake slab? Will the winner actually notice?
If you check the seller's feedback there are at least 6-10 examples where the coin received was counterfeit. I get suspicious in these cases.

Sellers love to list fakes using stolen pictures.

I don't see how it is a stolen picture since the seller is holding a slip of paper with his username on it in the photo. I believe you will receive the coin pictured.

The seller and coin look legit. My consern buying from France would be the $40 shipping fee and if I did not like the coin would be the cost and hassle of international return shipping.
