Buddy Rest in Peace United States 7075 Posts	Posted 01/29/2016 3:34 pm People do weird stuff to coins. The Home Shopping Network sold gold plated quarters -- they probably still do. So maybe someone was trying to copy them. It looks like the reverse was carefully plated but something went wrong on the obverse. Report this Post to the Staff
