There was a bunch of them in the January Heritage Auction in New York. I think prices were considerably lower than what was paid at the sale last year. It will give you at least 1 data point for a few coins.

I think you should double the ms65 price for evaluating an ms66 and then double this for the ms67 price.

Go to ICCS 63 prices,.. and in 64 it would have theoretically have doubled..and doubled again in 65 and then add the big WOW..!! factor $$ in 66 and "Super Wow" $$ in 67 ..
..at least that's how the ongoing theory goes..
..But I think that some were knocked down a touch when sent to PCGS..so that will drag down the final $$$.
Now figure in the very slow economy and then come up with a more realistic $$$$ value on them..

Thanks. I was wondering if anyone had analyzed any of those auction prices.

Auction results might give you an idea but they are often useless as coins of the same grade and designation (RB / Red) can vary greatly in the prices realized. So many variables are involved.

how would people say the ICCS grades on the coins were? over graded, conservative, generous?

People around me have said that many of the Landon's were one point over graded..but some were also the best ever seen..
...so if you send them down to PCGS don't be upset if some get knocked down a touch..
Example.. Lot 593 had 6 1888's at MS64 and it went for $1089.00..so you can do the math and see an ~value for each..(not sure if a buyers premium has to be added above..)
.. and that's after 9 1888 cents at 66 and 18 at 65.. ...so lots to go around for a long time..
There were over 125 1899's alone and all of great grades...so the market should be flooded for a long time with some dates..
