Welcome to the CCF, BGM. Sorry to report that this one's a fake. You were wise to check the authenticity of this piece and post a rim shot, too. The granular surface is somewhat telling, but that can sometimes be attributed to environmental damage. The line around the edge is often seen on cast pieces from this era. Back in the late 1960's, many of the original CW tokens, mostly common varieties, were being copied; and, primarily sold to tourists at historic sites. Your crude copy likely dates to that era, celebrating, in effect, the centennial of the Great Rebellion. Sadly, there are much better made fakes that are coming out of eastern Europe, nowadays. It takes a more experienced eye to spot those which have been appearing on ebay of late.

looks like a cast copy. Notice the casting seam on the edge and the general texture of the surfaces

I appreciate the prompt feedback. The 60's make sense. My dad was involved in a lot of the events marking the centennial. Looks like the grandchildren get something to play with.
Thanks

BGM .... Still, the copy is something, a keepsake, for your kids to remember their Grandfather.
Good ones there, Fuzzy. My favorite variety reads: "Shoot Him on the Spoot"

Clearly the OP's token is cast. Talked with Paul Cunningham at a local club meeting last night. He has a couple of recent counterfeit CWT's that are darn good copies. It's getting harder people. Love the Spoot variety too.
