Roller Bag Theft After Long Beach CA Show

Roller-Bag-Theft-After-Long-Beach-CA-ShowNumismatic Crime Information Center - A roller bag containing PCGS certified dollars was stolen after leaving the Long Beach show Thursday 2/04/2016. Serial numbers of the stolen items are listed below.

The stolen coins included:

A large group of PCGS 62's with serial numbers from 33206496 through 33206531 including several 1878cc, 1879s R'78, (3)1890cc.
A group of PCGS 63's with serial numbers from 33206532 through 33206546 including (2) 1878cc,1900s, 1890cc.
A large group of slightly better PCGS 63's with serial numbers 33433807 through 33433878.
A small group of slightly better PCGS 64's with serial numbers 33433879 through 33433897.
A large group of PCGS 64's with serial numbers 33448683 through 33448743 including an 1885cc.
A small group of PCGS 65's with serial numbers 33448745 through 33448755.

Poor guy, I would ball my eyes out. Can't stand a thief, hopefully they are found and returned.

Yikes. I can say that police presence around the show was big. I stayed at the Renaissance across the street and there were cruisers and bike cops everywhere. It felt like they were keeping the riff raff away from the money

Common place for a theft of a bag like this is at an airport. Person standing in line leaves his bag sitting next to him and not holding it. While their attention is elsewhere someone just walks off with it.

That is a tough loss but it could happen to anyone you just about have to chain things to your body now days.
