MENIFEE: $200,000 silver theft prompts arrest of coin store worker
http://www.pe.com/articles/silver-7...-conway.html

Quote:
The theft of more than $200,000 worth of silver bars and silver coins from a Menifee coin shop prompted the arrest of a 22-year-old Riverside woman who worked at the store, sheriff's officials say.

Corrina Elizabeth Conway was arrested at 12:56 p.m. Tuesday and booked for investigation of grand theft, embezzlement, and possessing stolen property, jail records show.

Looks like the coin shop hired the wrong person. I've have always thought that coin shop owners are in a difficult spot when looking to hire associates.

The temptation of it all is too much for some people.

I would think that coin shop owners would pay for a very thorough background checks. Maybe that kind of thing isn't economically feasible but when you're talking hundreds of thousands of dollars in merchandise, seems like a good idea.
