Numismatic Crime Information Center - The Fort Oglethorpe, Georgia Police Dept. is investigating the burglary of an Antique Mall where hundreds of coins and pieces of jewelry was stolen. Investigators have identified Roy Gerald Brown as a potential suspect. Brown lives in Cartersville, GA but has traveled throughout Georgia and Alabama. He is known to sell coins and jewelry to coin and pawn shops.

NCIC has been assisting Georgia law enforcement officials in several coin shop burglaries that have occurred during the past several months. NCIC sent out two alerts on a suspect identified as Gerald Roy Brown. Mr.Brown has been found dead and linked to two coin shop burglaries.

Interesting. No information on what happened; just that a dead body was found with antique coins in proximity. Sounds like an episode of the new "X-Files".

At least someone got their coins returned.
