Tens of thousands of valuables stolen from home in Gray
http://www.houmatoday.com/article/2016160229885

Quote:

Terrebonne Parish sheriff's detectives are awaiting potential DNA evidence from a house burglary in Gray last week that involved the theft of tens of thousands of dollars in possessions.

Homeowner Allen Robertson suspects that based on footprints and other evidence, two men and one woman broke into his Royce Street home and ransacked the entire place after he and his wife left for work early Thursday morning.

Really unfortunate. I hope that the criminals are apprehended and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law (sounds like they will eventually be identified with the blood stain evidence). Why do thieves intentionally damage a person's possessions as described in the article? They got what they wanted, why do they have to destroy stuff.

Like it said in the article: It was personally motivated. The burglars were out to hurt these people.

You would think. Could also be new neighbors in the community they are moving into. Seeing that they are investing $$$$ into their property and sizing them up as easy targets. Some jealousy may be involved. Sad.

Joe2007 Thank you for posting these articles all the time. It is good to be reminded of the terrible things that are happening around us. Having good neighbors or joining neighborhood watch is a good deterrent for these types of crime. The bad news is, things are only get worse as more and more people are looking for easy way out.

Thanks John. If these stories being posted here can help prevent the loss of collections to criminals then these posts will have fulfilled their purpose.
