I forgot all about these. I have about three rolls of 1946-S cents to look through. I had already picked out the RPMs. I even found an inverted mint mark that I sold on ebay. Now time to concentrate on doubled dies.

Well I did not overlook any RPMs or inverted mint marks the first time I looked through these. And there were no doubled dies BUT I did manage to pull out 4 decent ball serif mint marks, which are getting much harder to find. PLUS I found these two little guys.

Hey Seal006. Did you keep the best example of all 3 S mintmarks? Nice finding that many ball serifs.

Indeed. I have done that for every year with different mint marks.

That would be interesting to see all those. I know of the years 1928, 1941, 1944, 1945, 1946, 1947, 1952, 1974, 1979 and 1981 in cent coins from various resources. Are there more in later dates?

The latest date I know is 1987-D for cents. And CONECA mentions 1962-D for cents as well.

Probably a coin with inverted mint marks that are probably the most over looked are the Mercury dimes inverted ones that Wexler lists:
Dimes:
http://doubleddie.com/1179161.html#top (there were a lot more of them listed before? he must have removed most of them)
Cents:
