I bought this one a few months back. Try your grading skills on this one.

No wear evident.
The obverse lets it down, unless those nicks and scratches are on the slab. Obv. MS62, rev. MS64.
I agree: arguably the most beautiful of Australian coins.
My best Canberra two bob would grade somewhere around low AU.

It is a bit strange that this was given an MS grade and then they called it as a Proof like The provenance I was given for this coin is that this is a Proof blank struck with a business strike die. It has smooth polished fields and is most certainly a PL coin so why not simply grade it as such? rike die

Hi Trout, It looks like an older style PCGS holder, so would it be worth cracking and re-submitting? It's possible they could re-assess and grade as PL? Just an opinion

Quote: Hope it's successful Keep us updated It arrived at Longbeach on Friday the 4th under an World Express submission so it shouldn't take too long to get a result This is my most expensive Canberra Florin purchase to date so I think that dropping a few more dollars on it to get it correctly attributed is justified

a great looking coin. you should see if they can do some kind of conservation for the obverse. it would probably look 10 times better.
