Hey there folks! I've been lurking for quite some time. Trying to gather up as much info as possible. After 35 years... Digging into a good sized collection of silver halves and dollars my grandfather gave me as a kid.

Main focus is to investigate what I actually have. I thought I had a good handle on things. Then I learned of this little word called " VAM"

Wow! Did that throw me for a loop... Thanks for the inmormative place all.

Regards,
SB
Rest in Peace

A little more in depth on my quest or questions shall I say.

I'm a little confused as to what direction my grandfather was heading when putting this together. Wondering if he was a stacker or a numista that grew tired of the hobby. Reasoning behind my thinking is.... There seem to be some obvious scrap/junk silver coinage. Obviously, my novice opinion of "scrap" can be flawed.

Never the less... In the collection is some Canadian silver dollars, Mexiccan Peso's of some sort. And quite few random from what I can gether is Polish coinage. Which really strikes me as odd! There isn't an ounce of Polish blood in my family. Hmmmmm

Included is quite a few circulated/uncirculated $1's & $2's, in sequence and series. (No star notes unfortunately) More Polish war era notes. And U.S. Silver Certs. So, as you can see.... I have my work cut out for me! lol
Here is a couple that got me started.
