Yes @notehunter494, it is a $1 Natick star. I've asked my friend to send me a front & back scan of the note. When I get it, I will share it here. I believe he has it in a PCGS holder.

Thanks Steve, yes $1 1977A star. Getting old and was thinking Gilbert instead of Natick.
To ALL, I am still trying to post some pics of my Natick $1 from this Mac computer. I have gotten as far as resizing the pictures and they are sitting in the downward pointing arrow icon at the top right of this site labeled as downloads. From here I do not know how to get them into the message box so they would show up in the post. Any help from here would be welcome. Thanks

One page of the handwritten records kept by Gilbert Paper employees with serial numbers, how the notes were used, and who authorized the disbursement.

Jim61, who has published several articles on Natick notes was kind enough to share his census with me. Here it is, copied from his recent post on CUF, with a few more added from my own census.
----------------- Well an update is way over due. I found this thread so will post an update here.
Please do not ask me about any who sold or any who bought or any who owns any of these. Amenity is ensured to obtain the best census possible. Some are available doing online searches for those who are that inquisitive.
This is just a summary list and not the full layout, so some references to other charts are not included here. Without further ado, here goes: (but the forum formatting sucks)

note #1 First sheet position is what is on the note - top chart. Second is where it s/b serial number wise - flipped. note #2 Run is 62 which is the middle Natick runs 61 - 63. SFE means Sheets From End of run.
Summary This is based upon observed data from known notes. 1) there are 29 known examples that I am aware of. 2) this was a full run of 3 runs without gaps. 3) all errors occurred from run 62. 4) errors occurred on 19 sheets near middle of run. 5) errors only occurred on right half of split sheets. 6) potentially there are 304 of these errors. 7) each run was 40,000 notes, up from 20,000 earlier in 1977A. 8) 10 of 16 positions recorded, 6 not. 9) Front plates used 2089, 2090, 2097 and 2099. 10) Back plates used 3127 and 3128.

Glad you found Jim's thread and research @GoldenChest. I received this information in an email from Jim, and tried to post a link to his thread at Collectors Universe to your thread here, but I kept getting an error message. A lot of great information can be found on both of these threads.
If you need photos of the 63A G-G Gilberts, let me know and I'll try to find them.

GoldenChest,
It looks like we both received jim61's census information.. This added 14 additional errors to the current 14, plus E78859676H that is on your census, and not on his..
I am now showing 29 errors with the additional E78859676H above (your find or Jim's), far more then my 14 before hearing from Jim..
I was a bit confused on how his cencus is as I chart all errors be assigned serial numbers, and list the Run sheet numbers by the COPE plate position A1 in Run 62..
While you have a complete census, mine is focused on overprint errors only..
I an redoing my serial number charts to show 2 charts at a time instead of 9 charts, this should make it a little less confusing..

Thanks a lot Steve!
Another error note was just reported, with photos over on the boards of TCS. E78859666H FP H2090/BP 3127 H3 position, bringing the total errors to 30 and overall total to 43 notes found! Nearly triple what it was when I started this thread.
Notehunter, is your note listed here? What the serial number of yours?

I heard from Tom yesterday, my friend that bought the Gilbert Mill site, and he says he might sell his 1963A G-G notes found in the safe. Is there any interest in these ?

I'm interested to be sure. Affordability is another matter. Especially since they have yet to be cetrified or graded as Gilbert notes.
