I graded this one VG-10 with a strong strike. Put it up on ebay for $50 BIN OBO and it sold instantly for $50. But I got no bites when I listed it here. Am I missing something?

For Me it was too much wear on Liberty, lack of any diamonds ,and too much wear on hair. Reverse was not bad !

You should have auctioned it on ebay with a 99 cent start. Would've went for more.

I got my $50 value from looking at ebay sold prices. Anything over $40 had a much stronger LIBERTY than this one, and similar coins in auction settings were selling for $30-40. I didn't want to take less that $40 for it, especially given the flop of my previous auctions, so I put it up as a BIN.

But hey, I have negative $30 in this coin, so all is good.
Rest in Peace

The only thing you're missing is 10 million + potential buyers there vs. 1000? potential buyers here, and also, a lot of CCF'ers probably already have an example :)

Nice coin, I think $50 is a strong sale price.

Yeah, that's a nice sale price. I don't blame you for using OBO. I have also had bad experiences starting auctions at $0.99. Usually 1864-L's are rare and in demand enough that they will get the bids, but mid-desirable coins like 1875, 1863, etc. I always get less than stellar bids on no matter how good my pictures are. It's a fickle market.
