Well I guess it's a pop of 6 now lol...

I found this a few weeks ago at a lcs and grabbed it for 4 or 5 bucks. It was in a dansco he assembled and let me look through and since he had another 59d in his jump box to replace it he sold me this one. (I also pointed out a B1 reverse he had in there for him)

Anyway, whatcha think? Here's the link to V.V. It says it has a population of only 5. Is this true? If so any guesses on value and what I should do with it? Who should I send it to to change the reported pop to 6 now?

Thanks Oca, this is actually my first variety I have identified without pictures and only a worded description. I'm super curious as to the rarity and how desierable it is etc. And who to send it to for reported pop inclusion. What if I send it to anacs with attribution. Or is this something James wiley etc would do? This is a touch out of my VAM wheelhouse lol

Great eyes. A particularly scarce find. Congratulations.

Probably the best way to determine what population is out there is to determine the die state. If they are just EDS examples, the die may have been retired early. If there are LDS-VLDS examples out there, then there are many more examples out there that have not yet been found. Population reports from graders have a limited benefit. How many of the same coins have been broken out and re-submitted? If a coin is not a high dollar coin, then it may not be submitted. So I would lean toward the die states to get an idea how many are really out there.
