Continuing with my nickel education.... Is this an RPM? In addition to the obvious bar sticking out of the top, it looks like there might be a hook sticking out the southeast?

Hi Agrippa - check the nearby devices for MD also. I suspect you'll find it. To be sure though, download Dr. Wiles e-book on RPMs when you nickel search. It's been a big help to me as a handy reference. While there are RPMs for the date (Variety Vista/Brian's/RPM book) I don't think that this is one of them. Good luck on the hunt!!

I cannot find a listing for any of that date on VV or Brian's or Wexler's book.
Rest in Peace

I would like to see an image of the top of the right roof area to see if we see flattening on that area?

If it is machine damage, then it will could show on the tops of other devices. If it is coin contact it may only affect that one area. So some other shots at different angles might show what it is? If it is a RPM then it should be raised above the field and rounded a bit.
