I have over 20 Ike dollars and this is the only one with lines in the ear. Any ideas on how they are there ?

I try!

I have never noticed anything like that in the ear. I look forward to the discussion.

Die scratches. The area inside the ear is part of the outside face of the die along with fields. Thus Die scratches can show up there.

Makes sense, Coop. Never thought about how deep the ear hole was, being field level.
