Here's my humble Friday pickup. What do you think about grade? Is the slanted '5' a common variety?

VF30, but those two obverse scratches are pretty deep...looks like old 2x2 staple scratch?

Great coin nice pickup! Panzaldi is that the reason for the difference in die wear I see in the stars too between left and right side? Been reading on classic grading lately and trying to learn certain pickup points just curious thanks! (Stars are much sharper on left side)

Slambass- You can really notice the uneven strike ot the reverse. There are no denticles on the upper portion and the lettering from the 'D' in 'UNITED' to the second 'S' in 'STATES' is very 'weak. This area on the reverse corresponds with the area of the date on the obverse- as noted by Panzaldi.
