I think this is a Toonie with a misaligned core but would appreciate and expert info. What do you think the value would be. Sorry for the bad photos

Quite common on the 96. Yours is only slightly off so there's not too much value here. Id put a price of $10-15.

Generally on this type of error, if you see a gap with daylight the greater the gap the greater the value.

I agree they're not that difficult to find from 1996 but there're some very nice misaligned cores from 1996 also.
This one is off a little more then your example.
I know I'd be pleased with a find like yours. Congrats!!
